Parish Pastoral Council
The mission of the St. Martin’s Parish Pastoral Council is to advise and assist the Pastor in building the parish as a living and harmonious Catholic community and in promoting pastoral activities. By planning, evaluating, and coordinating and by recommending goals and priorities, the Council supports and guides other parish organizations and responsible individuals in carrying out the various parish ministries. The Council should not implement programs but should look to the staff and to parish organizations for the development of programs to meet the identified pastoral needs. The Parish Council also provides balanced advice and recommendations to the Pastor concerning the parish budget.
All meetings of the Council shall be open to parishioners as observers. At the discretion of the Chairperson, any parishioner may have five minutes of floor time at a meeting provided that the parishioner has contacted the Chairperson, ahead of time.
